SENIOR PROGRAMMER (SAS)

A vacancy for a Senior Programmer (SAS) exists within the Statistics and Programming team to support various clinical trials.  A large component of the role will include working within standard operating procedures and to internal SAS programming conventions. Using SAS you will develop and validate CDISC SDTM and ADAM datasets and tables, figures and listings (TFLs) against the statistical analysis plan and other specifications.  The role also includes working with legacy databases and developing new programming for future clinical trials and to support the needs of the current team. The ideal candidate should have a degree in computer science, statistics or related discipline, with at least 5 years’ relevant experience working as a programmer preferably in a sponsored clinical trial environment.  We may accept a candidate without a degree if the prior experience is extensive.

Candidates should have experience working in SAS to CDISC standards. Candidates should have good problem solving skills using a logical approach, be highly motivated with a willingness to learn/research new technologies and self-manage workload. Ability to write technical specification documentation and work to required industry standards is important. Prior experience leading programming activities for a project is important.

Due to the current COVID-19 climate, remote working is currently the default and may be considered longer term for the right candidate.

STATISTICIAN

A vacancy for a Statistician exists within the Statistics and Programming team.  The successful candidate will contribute statistical expertise for specific projects under the supervision of senior staff on one or more of our current projects. They will contribute to the writing and implementation of statistical analysis plans for clinical trials, undertake statistical analysis, develop and maintain standard operating procedures and associated documentation. There will be opportunity to contribute to journal publications, study reports and they will represent the organisation at study meetings with external partners.  The ideal candidate should have a degree in statistics (or in a related field with a strong statistics component).  A postgraduate degree in statistics or related subject is preferable but not essential.
